Craftsmanship

The art of transforming steel into exquisite craftsmanship began in 1945 in the town of Yatağan, Denizli. Now in our third generation, we continue to refine our processes, continually enhancing the quality and variety of materials used in our production. Each of our knives is meticulously crafted, whether as a bespoke piece made to order or a unique single-edition item.

Importance of Yatağan and its Knifemaking Tradition

Yatağan holds a key place in Turkish history, established by Osman Bey, also known as Yatağan Baba, who was tasked with conquering the region. Initially ruled by Turkmen principalities, it became part of the Ottoman Empire in 1429. The town gained fame for its blacksmithing, producing the iconic "yatağan" knives used in the conquest of Istanbul and was also involved in gunpowder production. Although Yatağan’s significance declined, its craftsmanship legacy endures. Today, it is known for artisanal work, with almost every household serving as a workshop producing knives, hammers, and agricultural tools. Since 1945, we have upheld this tradition, blending heritage with modern innovation to maintain exceptional quality.
